Polish Soundscapes - Reworks is a collection of sounds from various latitudes across Poland shown in a new musical context.

The Warsaw based artist, who previously collaborated with acts of both, Polish (Smolik/Kev Fox, RusT, Patrycja Markowska) and international recognition (Robbie Moore, TAU, Corky Laing, Jesper Munk), this time visited 9 unique regions in Poland to record their sound DNA and retransform into new sonic forms.

On this album PIDGYN refrains from complicated editing or sampling of the recordings and presents most of them as natural and untouched. He tries to refine them, however, with a new musical context of guitars, pedal steel and synthesizers.

As corny as it may sound the project aims to display singularity of the natural world's sounds and attract attention to their value in presence as well as their uncertain future.

Similtaneously, the artist will also release the raw field recordings captured on this musical joruney.

Polish Soundscapes - Reworks to ukazany w nowym kontekście zbiór dźwięków z wielu szerokości geograficznych w Polsce - od Suwalszczyzny przez Wielkopolskę po Bieszczady.

Artysta odwiedził 9 wyjątkowych miejsc w Polsce, zarejestrował ich dźwiękowe DNA, następnie przetworzył i ozdobił zarówno nowoczesnym jak i tradycjnym instrumentarium.

W tym "reworku" polskich pejzaży dźwiękowych PIDGYN stroni od nadmiernych edycji czy samplowania dźwięków i ukazuje je w dużej mierze naturalne, lecz wzbogacone o nowy muzyczny kontekst. Muzyka ma na celu ukazać unikalność dźwięków środowisk naturalnych oraz zwrócić uwagę zarówno na ich teraźniejszą wartość, jak i niepewną przyszłość.

Równolegle z albumem udostępnione zostaną też same nagrania terenowe oraz krótkie historie z nimi związane.

Zrealizowano w ramach programu stypendialnego Ministra Kultury i Dziedzictwa Narodowego – Kultura w sieci.
